Sustainability Forum Wednesday at Smith Opera House

The Town of Geneva and Geneva Community Power will be leading a sustainability forum on Wednesday, April 10th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., at the Smith Opera House, 82 Seneca Street. Refreshments will be provided.

Those attending will be introduced to a renewable energy program spearheaded by the Town of Geneva. The program, called Geneva Community Power, will supply local clean energy, save those who enroll approximately 10% on electricity for up to twenty-five years, and generate $25,000 that will be directed toward at least one of four sustainable initiatives that will benefit the area. The discussion will center around the four project options to receive the funding: storm water control, solid waste reduction, home energy efficiency upgrades, and community-owned distributed generation.
